Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio has delivered a healthy baby boy 'Stonefish'

MANILA, Philippines – Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara “Inday Sara” Duterte-Carpio on Thursday afternoon gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

Duterte-Carpio delivered her third child named “Stonefish” through cesarean section at around 12:56 p.m. Her first adopted child and first born were nicknamed "Sharky" and "Stingray," respectively.
According to Duterte-Carpio’s Public Information Office chief Jefry-Tupas, the newborn weighs 2.42 kilos or 5.3 pounds.

Duterte-Carpio’s husband, Manases Carpio welcomed the new addition to their family, whom he considers a blessing

“Thank you, Lord, for the gift of life,” Carpio said.

Carpio said the Davao City mayor is now “stable” and “generally” fine.

Last August 19, Inday Sara announced her seven-week pregnancy with triplets. She admitted "having a hard time with symptoms as the complications of a multifetal pregnancy" and went on leave.

However, in September, the mayor informed the public of the fetal demise - two of her triplets. President Rodrigo Duterte confessed he cried over her daughter’s miscarriage.

Despite her delicate pregnancy, Inday Sara said her condition did not hamper her responsibilities for Davao City.
